A Pathway to RAG

A one-day workshop with OpenSource Connections at Haystack Europe 2024

“We need to implement RAG!” – Many people and companies nowadays put great attention on getting started with Retrieval Augmented Generation: the idea of combining the capabilities of a Large Language Model (LLM) with data fetched from one’s own data sources. This inspires new types of applications and tools that would increase productivity or that are easier to interact with. On the other hand, many people and teams don’t feel quite certain yet: everyone seems to be doing it, but is it worth it for us? How can we get started? Can WE do it?

This workshop is targeted at participants at beginner level who want to get started with RAG. It will

  • Introduce the concept of RAG
  • Discuss when to use RAG both from the data retrieval and from the use case perspective
  • Introduce typical RAG components, architectures and solutions
  • Provide a hands-on RAG example implementation
  • Discuss in depth ways of measuring the quality of a RAG application
  • Discuss the aspects if “RAG readiness” of a company such as appropriate data, teams and processes, operations and cost

Led by René Kriegler, Chief Strategy Officer at OpenSource Connections – watch René and Jeremy Hudson, Managing Director, Engineering & Architecture for Moodys.com, talk about Moody’s innovative Generative AI product, ‘Research Assistant’ at this year’s Haystack US conference.

Tickets include entry to Haystack EU 2024. A light lunch will be provided.
