How to Join OSC’s Self-Led Search Training Courses

This document walks you through how to join one of our self-led search training courses:

  • Think Like a Relevance Engineer – Solr
  • Think Like a Relevance Engineer – Elasticsearch
  • Think Like a Relevance Engineer – OpenSearch
  • Hello LTR – Learning to Rank

All you need to do is register, select one of the above mentioned trainings and pay using a credit or debit card. You can access the training content immediately after payment and are ready to learn. We use the Moodle platform to deliver the training.

The following steps help you through this process.

1. Log In or Create an Account

Head over to the login page of our Moodle training platform to log in if you already are a member of our platform or if not, create your new Moodle account.

Click “Create new account” to create a new account and fill out the form accordingly.

You will be informed that an email should have been sent to the specified address. Head over to your inbox and follow the instructions to confirm your registration.

Hit “Continue” afterwards and log in with your credentials by either clicking on “Log in” on the top right corner or clicking here.

2. Select the Training Course you Want to Join

On the Dashboard you will see text box with the training class options you can join:

After selecting the training you want to join you will see the course description, the price and a button to proceed to the checkout.

3. Checkout

There currently is only one payment type: Stripe, which will allow you to pay by credit or debit card. Continue by selecting “Proceed”.

Enter your credit card details and proceed with the checkout.

4. Have Fun Learning!

That’s it! You’re directed to the training course and can start accessing the content. If you have any questions just get in touch.
