Call For Presentations – ** Closed August 15th 2022 **
We are hosting an in-person Haystack Search Relevance Conference in Berlin, Germany, on September 27th 2022. We are looking for speakers to come talk about all aspects of search relevance. The Call for Presentations is open and we welcome your submissions! This year we will utilize a double-blind review process to select conference presentations. Please get your submissions in by August 15th and acceptance notifications will be sent out late August. For questions contact Daniel Wrigley or Charlie Hull.
At Haystack we want to hear from practitioners from around the world working on hard relevance problems. We want to hear and share what’s working and not working – the real-life war stories of theory encountering practice. What did that paper actually say, and how did you implement it in your search stack? Was the silver bullet for your team some kind of taxonomy? Or intent classification? Or perhaps Learning to Rank? A/B testing for search? Generating search quality data from user events? How did your team get started and grow in maturity? Your audience will generally be search professionals, developers, search product owners and relevance engineers.
Find out what makes a great Haystack talk – we are looking for talks of 30-40 minutes. Curious what a Haystack talk looks like? Note that we don’t have any external sponsors for Haystack – so there are no paid speaking slots or space for vendor pitches.
Please note that we are currently planning an in-person conference. We are also looking into options for streaming at least some of the event talks online as they happen. As we all know things can change and we will do our best to adapt.
